Mid-summer wedding photography at Dodford Manor

I first met Amanda over a year ago while she was planning her wedding to Mark. Amanda has always lived in a small village, and her groom-to-be jests about the fact all her friends, family, and businesses she uses happen to live in and around the village. So when she reached out, not knowing I live just two streets away - it had to be fate.
Fast forward to 10th July 2026, 30+ degrees heat, and a bloody gorgeous venue at Dodford Manor, Amanda and Mark tied the knot.
Despite the sweltering heat, the day was calm and collected. Dodford Manor was decorated absolutely beautifully by Selina from Jack Haddon who supplied all the flowers, the cake was baked and decorated by Ellie's Bakehouse, with the finishing touches added at the venue, and the bridal party had the pleasure of The Hair Book Wedding Stylist and Yvonne Aucott Bridal Makeup who did a fantastic job considering they had to survive such an intense heatwave. Amanda and her girls looked fantastic all the way through to the party!
I had the absolute honour of photographing Mr and Mrs McAuley's day. They made me feel extremely welcome and even offered me a glass of Pimm's, which I politely accepted... :D
And to top it off, the night ended (for me) with a lively round of Céilí dancing which had the entire wedding party on their feet. If you've never had the dance floor chanting "Forced fun! Forced fun!" have you ever even been to a proper wedding?
Thanks again for asking me to be such a big part of your wedding at Dodford Manor, and I hope you both love this small preview of such a perfect day.
