Karen and James, James and Karen. The two kindest, most genuine people I've met tied the knot at Hothorpe Woodlands on 30th December. A Christmas wedding for a lady obsessed with Christmas, and in her words she wished "everyone could wear elf costumes". Now that would have made for some great photographs! Luckily, everyone spruced themselves up and came dressed in their best fit-for-a-wedding outfits, but the day had enough Christmas sparkle to remind you we were in the festive season.
For someone who didn't want a photographer, Karen is so photogenic and spent her whole wedding day beaming once the nerves settled. I had so much fun getting to know her and the bridal party before the wedding. Despite the nerves, Karen and the girls seemed super chill and the whole vibe was down-to-earth and fun.
The sun was shining, giving of a beautiful low winter glow, making for the perfect day for Karen and James. James fought hard to hold back the tears while his beautiful bride walked down the aisle. She was stunning and the room knew it! James, you're one lucky man!
After saying their I Do's and surviving a 20-minute photo session outdoors (sorry guys it was chilly), everyone was seated for their wedding breakfast. What they didn't know was the wedding party was going to be starting early. No sooner did a "waiter" crash to the floor during the serving of pudding, the lights went down, the music went up and the wonder secret singing waiters gave everyone and absolutely fantastic show. If you've not considered hiring them for your wedding reception, I highly recommend thinking about it! Just see for yourselves with the photographs below!
I wish you both a lifetime of happiness x
Hothorpe and The Woodlands is a gorgeous wedding venue just outside of Market Harborough. When the weather's warmer, couple can say their vows under a gorgeous leafy canopy surrounded by their loved ones, or if you prefer, the indoor lodge building is bright and airy for a indoor ceremony that feels at one with nature. The floor to ceiling glass front and side make it feel like you're outdoors (but warmer!)
